PROMET S.A., based in the Pomán Valley (Catamarca), is
one of the largest olive oil producers in the country.
It has more than 3,000 ha of trees of various varieties:
Arbequina, Manzanilla, Coratina, Arbosana, Koroneisky and Picual,
among others.
The low rainfall and the necessary temperature range,
make this area an ideal place for olive growing.
PROMET S.A. is characterized by being a company totally
comprehensive, which controls its quality throughout the production process:
processing plant, laboratory, warehouse, packaging room and
own distribution.
The plant is equipped with three continuous centrifugal systems
of the latest generation, with the capacity to process
500,000 kilos of olives per day.
Once harvested, the olives are ground within 24
hours, storing the oil obtained in steel tanks
stainless steel inside the cellar at a controlled temperature.
For the packaging of our products we use our
state-of-the-art packaging machine, which allows the
injection of nitrogen into the bottles, avoiding contact
of the air with the oil.
